Hands Up!

 Patrick, my Dad, and I took the kids to Michigan Adventure in Muskegeon last week.  It was the kids first time at an amusement park and our first time in years!  It's not even really comparable to Cedar Point with fewer rides and being much smaller but it was perfect for the kids!  They have a water park attached to the amusement park as well so this was an all day long event!  Evie stayed back with my Mom so we could just keep going until we couldn't go anymore!

 Carson's first ride was the bumper cars and after 3 times riding in a row we had to drag him away.  I think he would have stayed on that ride all day long.

 Laney wasn't really into the carnival rides, they weren't big enough!  So we went on the smallest roller coaster they have.  Laney and Patrick are way up in the front seat in the photo.  Carson was excited to be sitting with Grandpa, as you can see, but he was crying by the time the ride stopped 30 seconds later.  He is NOT a roller coaster fan!  We really thought he would be too!  He was way more into the old fashioned cars.

Laney, on the other hand, LOVES roller coasters! That's an understatement really.  I mean she's crazy!  Patrick and Laney rode Zach's Zoomer at least 11 times!  Laney would get off the ride and right away be yelling, "Again, again!".   She kept her hands up the entire ride and was full of screams and laughs.  She is a girl after Patrick's heart.  Those two were inseparable all day.  Patrick didn't seem that excited to even be going to Michigan Adventure, and then we walked through the gates and he caught sight of the first roller coaster and he was like a kid in Santa's Workshop.  He was literally jumping up and down with joy dragging the kids as fast as he could from ride to ride, as you can see from the photo above . At the end of the day Patrick said that it was one of the best days of his entire life.  He can't wait to take Laney to Cedar Point one day when she's a little taller, and Carson too if he changes his mind on the whole roller coaster thing :-)

 Carson's favorite!  He rode these cars 5 or 6 times.  Sometimes with me, sometimes with my Dad, and even all by himself once or twice.

 We closed out the day at the water park and having ice cream.  We were all so exhausted by the end of the day I really felt like I could have slept for days.  Carson and Laney had very different interests at the park but everyone had a blast.  My Dad and Patrick even snuck away to ride the newest roller coaster at one point.  It really was one of the most fun days ever.  We will be back next year, and Laney is really hoping to be at least 2 inches taller so she can add a couple more coasters to her list!  

 Carson attended a week long AYSO soccer camp with professional soccer players from the U.K.!  He was on Team Brazil and made a flag all on his own to get some extra points for his team.

 August in Ada!  Our annual Ada festival was on one of the hottest days!  But we sweated it out and had fun in the sun anyways.

 Little miss Evie is rolling over!  She started a day after she turned 4 months old.  Carson is just tickled to death he thinks it's the coolest thing ever.

 Patrick went out for a long run last weekend and pulled his calf muscle three miles out.  So we hopped in the car to give him a ride and of course Carson and Laney had to grab their doctor kits first so they could give him first aid!

Everson was baptized today!  Grandma and Grandpa Brang came yesterday to stay over and the kids were delighted to have overnight guests.  

My sweet baby!  She's wearing the dress Laney wore as well.  This dress is over 60 years old!  My Mom wore it first and it's gone through all the girls in our family including me.  It's pretty awesome.  

Auntie and Aunt Sarah are Evie's Godparents.  Aunt Sarah just HAD to move to South Korea for 5 months during the time we had Everson baptized :-)  So Auntie had to go solo.  You were with us in spirit Aunt Sarah!  

Everson was happy as could be and didn't mind the water on her face at all.  Pastor Bob was so great with all three kids, as always.  Laney had to go back to her seat during the baptism to grab the picture she had been working on.  She gave it to Pastor during the baptism and he pleasantly and graciously accepted her gift.  

 What a lucky girl to have four amazing grandparents here to celebrate with her!  My kids just don't even realize how lucky they are.  Patrick and I do though!

 Evie looks like she could be your baby Auntie!  

 

 Laney helped me bake and decorate a strawberry cake for the party!  We also celebrated Carson's birthday with Grandma and Grandpa Brang since it's right around the corner.

Twinsies!  I think they secretly planned it.
