Carson was really excited to go to Laney's preschool Family Fun Night so he could check out the old stomping ground! Same classroom, new guinea pig...Laney introduced him to Sully!
Evie had her 6 month check-up complete with 6 shots and all! Ugh...so hard to watch! She was a champ though. So far it looks like the girls in our family are taking the toughness award. We just took Carson and Laney in for their flu shots too and it took quite a while just to get Carson out from hiding under my bed to get him in the car, and then Patrick and I both had to hold him down screaming for his shot. He continued the drama all the way home. Laney sat up brave as can be and didn't shed a tear. She was all smiles on her way out telling everyone how she got a shot and didn't cry. Wow.
Pumpkin carving time! Carson's favorite! He did his pumpkin completely on his own again this year. Laney actually was able to carve out the top on her own as well! She was really determined. I did help her with the face though.
Evie enjoyed watching the kids carve pumpkins :-)
Big, middle, and little!
We made our annual trip to Gull Meadows Farm this year and in true Brang/Wilkins tradition it was a cold, wet, rainy day! It never fails. Whatever day we plan on going, it will rain! But that has never stopped us and I think it actually works out pretty well because it's less crowded and my kids seriously love getting wet and muddy!
This was one messy slide. They might as well have been rolling in mud. So much fun!
A wet jumping pillow made for some pretty slippery bouncing! We never did get a group photo it was hard to keep taking out my phone in the rain. It was a fun, muddy, wet day!
We took the whole fam tailgating at MSU this year! Carson and Laney wanted to go last year and it never happened so we were all excited to give it a go this year. The kids had a BLAST! It was way more fun than we ever expected. We had perfect weather and we got to meet up with our friend Kevin and lots of his family.
We walked around campus and stopped in at the Dairy Store to get some homemade icecream.
Back at the tailgate Carson and Laney were busy decorating the sidewalks for MSU students walk to class on Monday. If you look carefully Carson keeps writing block S's for State followed by "BOOM". That may read "boom" to the common eye but it's really "boo-M (Michigan)".
Maybe if the football team had been able to see these cute fans gearing up for the game they could have pulled off a win?
Evie sits up on her own to play. She isn't very interested in rolling around on the floor. She sat there just watching Carson and Laney play Yard Dice and Ladder Ball.
She even sat up in a big chair on her own while I fed her lunch. So big!
You know just maxin and relaxin at the tailgate.
Carson played some soccer and football with the guys too. We stayed on campus for about 4-5 hours before heading home. Next time Carson and Laney really want to go to the game as well. They never once asked us to go home or said they were bored. They enjoyed just being outside, playing games, and hanging out. Evie was happy as a clam all day too! Never fussed or whined...she loved watching everybody and I think she loves being outside too! What a fun day!
Laney, Everson, and I have been taking walks on the Grand River path by our house to collect leaves daily. It's beautiful back there this time of year. Kate joined us one day for some girl time fun!
Happy birthday to Grandma AND Grandpa! We got to celebrate on both of their special days this year. Two special desserts in one week...yes please!
Everson is loves watching Laney at gymnastics. I can take this girl anywhere and she's happy as long as she has her big sister to watch.
This is a shot of Carson with the boat he made out of recycled materials to take on his Boy Scout camping trip. Camping was a big success...Carson LOVES it and Patrick, well, he loves that Carson loves it :-)
I wish I had a big brother and sister like Evie has!
Evie is just our little peanut! At 6 months she weights 16 and 1/2 pounds and is 26 inches tall. She's only in the 45th percentile for both! She is a good little eater though...she has tried most everything and so far only refused prunes. Who likes those anyways? Everything she eats right up! She's trying to eat puffs and drink water from sippy cups and straw cups too.
And we are back at Koutsier's! This time with Carson and Max!
You wouldn't believe how exctied Carson STILL gets to ride the bumblebee ride. I mean shaking excited. I don't know what age this will end but I'll be sad when it does.
I got to chaperone Laney's preschool fieldtrip to Robinette's to pick apples! She is in the center of the picture in the black shirt.
Sometimes after school we meet Laney's school buddies at Ada Park for more fun!
