Another successful driveway hangout with Svids, Joe, Chet, and Ave up from Portage and Kate and the girls too! Talk about a fun day, we had the nicest time catching up and watching our kids play together. Can we start doing this every weekend? PLEASE!
The Bonofiglio's brought the newest member of their family and Carson was in love at first sight.
For Carson's birthday this year he had a few of his buddies over for pizza and games outside. It was pretty simple I just put out some food, drinks, and water balloons with the slip n slide and they took it from there! So happy even at 11 these kids just have fun playing in the yard together.

Evie and Laney had a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa's during the "boy party". Evie tried on an old flower girl dress my Mom had in the closet.
Evie got to go back to school this week!!! Her preschool started up their week long camps and she was nervous but also so happy to be back with her friends and all the animals! It was so weird to not have her with me after 5 months straight of togetherness :-)
Carson and Laney asked to go to a new camp at High Pointe Horse Farm here in Ada this year. It was a week long and they just stayed outside on this farm all day. They learned how to ride horses and care for them, they went on long trail rides, they played with kittens, swam, rode on tractors, and played games like Capture the Flag. Again, after not being able to go to any camps or school for so long, they were eager to go and I felt so funny driving around without them. They will tell you they had the time of their lives.

We were so happy to get to see Eliana and Addie again too! We miss them so much!
Aunt Sarah went above and beyond and made a scavenger hunt for Carson's birthday gift and set it all up in our house. As you can see all the kids were so excited!
Carson's been begging to go golfing with us, so Patrick finally took him out to a 3 hole practice course. He got to drive the cart a bit and had a pretty decent swing for it being his first time. He will be better than us in no time.

Happy 11th birthday to Carson! Breakfast in bed and then another scavenger hunt for his gift!
We got to celebrate with Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie, Uncle Adam, Maeve, and Maren that night!
How can this kid be going into 6th grade? He's so tall and so grown up all of a sudden, and yet still such a little kid in so many ways. He's been taking violin lessons all summer and just started back up with soccer. He loves his video games and playing in the woods with his buddies in the neighborhood. He reads books at night like it's his job and still loves to tell Patrick and I all about what we should be doing better, what we should be buying, and how we could make things better with his big ideas. He's a negotiator, an instigator, and so persistent he will WEAR. YOU. DOWN. Yet he's still sweet, caring, and oh so compassionate. He knows how to push my buttons but seriously my heart is just wrapped all up in him and I just love watching him grow. Slower would be good though. Happy birthday to our 11 year old!
