Welcome to our Home "Cookie"!

On the Funicular at the zoo on member night!  We ran all the way to the back of the zoo carrying the kids to get to ride this thing before the park closed...you may not be able to tell but Patrick can barely catch his breath!

 Carson's Preschool Open House!

Carson and I went to a preschool play date at the pumpkin patch last week...he had fun with some friends from school and I had so much fun with him!

 Mums at Meijer Gardens!

Laney was not so sure about these guys :-)

 Riding the mini horse!  Neigh!

Now for the biggest news of all...Carson got to bring home "Cookie" for the weekend!  Cookie is his class guinea pig and Carson describes him as our "Special Visitor".  He was a big big deal, all weekend, every minute.  Carson and Laney spent most of their days just standing at Cookie's cage talking to him and letting him nibble on their fingers.  Carson fed Cookie and gave him fresh water every day.

Got my boots on for the Pumpkin Patch in Kalamazoo but I don't know if I like it :-(

Yesterday we drove down to Gull Meadows to meet Mama Svids and pick out a pumpkin!  We had a blast!  The kids got to do the zip line, duck races, go down huge pipe tunnels, jump on the bounce pad, get a tractor ride, pet some animals at the petting farm, shoot apples out of apple shooters, pick out our "Golden Pumpkin" (that's what Carson calls our pumpkin and is why he picked it), and got some yummy donuts and cider!  We've been to a grand total of 4 Apple Orchards this Fall and we just cannot get enough!

Auntie stopped in last night after visiting with her Grand Rapids friends just in time to help us take out Cookie for his play time!  (Mommy was thinking thank goodness!)  I actually had to hold Laney back in another room after about 30 seconds because all she wanted to do was grab, smack, kick etc. poor Cookie.  This girl does not know the meaning of gentle.

This photo of Cookie was taken by Carson himself :-)
