March Madness Carson and Laney Style!

Laney rarely sits down without one of her "blankies" now.  She wants to do EVERYTHING herself.  She is constantly saying, "Me, me, me".  She tries to zip her jacket, she picks out her clothes and changes her clothes throughout the day, she puts on her own boots, and she even wants to spin the lid to her sippy cup herself.  She is strong willed and hard headed!  This week we had a playdate with a two year old boy named Grant in our neighborhood.  Laney showed up in mismatched pajamas.  It was what she picked out and what she insisted on wearing.  SO...not only can I NOT brush her hair or put bows in it, now I cannot pick out her cute outfits EITHER!  She has a mind of her own I guess :-)
I got to chaperon Carson's field trip to the Children's Museum last week and Laney got to tag along because Grandma and Grandpa brought her with them.

Enjoying the rain...welcoming the rain!  Anything but SNOW!

Laney skipped her nap one day and played hard ALL DAY LONG.  An hour before bed time Patrick gave her a bath, put her down on the couch, walked up to the T.V. to turn it on, and when he turned around she was already asleep.  Took about 10 seconds.
Happy Birthday Grandma Brang!  We had so  much fun celebrating with you on your big day!  Laney LOVED singing the birthday song and Carson couldn't wait to help blow out the candle.  So much cake!  On this visit Laney got a lot of attention for saying her new favorite phrase, "Hot Poop"...compliments of Carson.  Don't you just love older brothers who say funny things that stick?

Griffey visits!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Carson says, "Hey, do you know what a leprechaun looks like?  Like this!".  He is pretty certain leprechauns are real after he found green footprints in his classroom and found green water in our toilet bowl at home.  He told my mom that the leprechaun must have pooped in our toilet.  Oh boy!
Carson heard a beeping sound in the middle of the night one night so the next day he helped Daddy change every fire alarm battery in our house.
Sky Zone!  One day we went with Grandma and Grandpa to the trampoline park and the kids had a BLAST!

Check out that crossed leg ;-)
Mid day snooze...in her 3rd set of pajamas for the day...yep.
 Mismatched pajamas AGAIN!
Laney spilled water all over her at the drinking fountain at the church carnival we went to, so she had to wear Mommies jacket!
Patrick and I took the kids to the pool last weekend so Carson could show Patrick all the things he's been learning at his swim lessons.  The pool was shockingly cold so we didn't last too long, but we had fun for a good 20 minutes.  When I took Laney into the locker room to shower off we had even MORE fun!  Laney stood in that warm water forever.  I dragged her out after about 15 minutes.  She kept holding up all 10 fingers and saying, "two, two".  (I guess that means she is asking for 2 more minutes)

Nice kitty...Laney gets out her arch nemesis every once in a while to try her out again.  It never lasts long.

If you listen carefully to the last video you will hear Laney saying, "Full" as she sticks out her full belly at the restaurant we were at.  Too cute!
