Laney Boo is Turning Two! (oh and is potty trained too)

 Happy Birthday Laney!  Carson, Laney, and I met Grandma and Grandpa at Meijer Gardens on Laney's birthday and then went out to lunch...where Laney threw a fit and STILL got to have ice cream.

 Laney had a fantastic birthday party with so many special people!  Aunt Sarah and Uncle Blake, Aunt Beth and Uncle Nader, Grandma and Grandpa Brang, Auntie, Adam, and Griffey, Jodie, Jeff, Madison, and Max, Jen, Josh, Jack, Leah, and Will, and Grandma and Grandpa all made her day extra special!

 One of my favorite parts of the whole weekend was that Carson broke the pinata.  Ever since his birthday last year when his buddy Jack broke the pinata he has been talking about how he really hopes he can break a pinata open one day.  When he found out I had a pinata for the party he asked if Jack could not be allowed to swing at it.  Of course everyone got a turn but on Carson's second time at bat he confidently announced, "Look out everybody the candy is about to come out!".  And sure enough he broke it.  What I loved is that he went right up to Jack and said, "Thanks for loosening it for me Jack!"...and everyone was happy.  Jack is such a great friend to Carson :-)

 I can't even think about how much cake Laney ate at her birthday party...it's shocking.  She's on a sugar detox this week.

 Carson even got some extra special gifts even though it wasn't his birthday. Uncle Blake spent a lot of time building helicopters, locomotives, and ferris wheels at Carson's command.  We probably won't be getting these back out until one of the uncle's comes back :-)  Thanks Aunt Beth!

In other news, Laney has pretty much potty trained herself.  About a  month ago she started asking to go on the toilet and started demanding underwear.  She will throw a diaper across the room or in the trash if she even sees you with one in your hand.  She won't wear pull-ups either.  She hasn't had any accidents at night at all and she does really well during the day...with a few accidents here and there still.  It's bizarre really, I wasn't even ready for this!
