Laney's favorite part of soccer....the drink breaks!
Having your best friends live right across the street and just happen to have an in-ground infinity pool....not too shabby! Carson also just passed the level 1 Red Cross Swimming Test! We are so proud of him. He's quite the little fish. He can swim in the deep end unaided and loves jumping in and trying to get rings off the bottom of the pool. If the sun is shining....we are swimming! Laney still uses swimmies but she is right there jumping in and keeping up with the boys. She'lll be ready to start swimming lessons this Fall!
Laney has been trying to skip her naps every few days lately...not yet little girl! Neither one of us is ready for that!
Yeah that's what NOT to do with a marker.
Making play do dresses for her princess dolls.
Laney and Carson have been quite the helpers with our plants and flowers this year! Laney helped me pick out all our plants and Carson could not wait to plant his strawberry plants! We spent three days weeding and mulching and Carson didn't let one bag of mulch get by him without his help. He loved spreading the mulch and he wanted to know all the names of the plants...which I could not help him with unfortunately. He also planted some flower seeds along the back of the house with Grandpa one day. He is on the look out for those pesky bunnies, last year they ate all his buds up! Laney playing soccer = HYSTERICAL! The kids are looking how NOT to use their hands, which the coach said was the goal of the class. Laney really started getting it this past week! She made it about 30 minutes before she had a minor breakdown...
(this is Laney "trapping" the ball)
oh my....oh my.. No tears just some funny body language! She was back up and doing the kicking exercise in no time. Grandma even took us both out to lunch after to celebrate the successful soccer practice!
I even got to practice with her a little!
Carson's school had a special Kindergarten Music Concert for each of the kindergarten classes. It was AMAZING! I've seen a lot of student concerts but nothing like this. All the families got to go right into the music room and we spent 45 minutes watching the class interact with their teacher just like they have been all year. No stress, no stink eyes trying to get the kids to be quiet, no dressing up and standing tall...just tons of fun! Laney clapped and gave Carson a thumbs up after every song yelling, "Good Job Carson!". There are a few videos of the class dancing and singing below. They sang, played instruments, danced, and moved!
Carson and Laney finally got to meet Ms. Kate's baby girl, Bennett! They held her for a split second but this little cutie is on the move! Carson was on it. He ran downstairs and got out the toddler table and his firetruck that you can ride. He was right on too because Little B loved them! We even got to take her down our little slides out back but I didn't have my phone on me to take a pic. We can't wait to be seeing more of baby B this summer!
