Guess Who's Six!

Carson spent A LOT of time trying to get Laney to touch these huge fish in the Meijer Garden Waterfall even though he was scared just looking at them!  We got lucky though because a worker came by and let the kids throw the fish food into the water!

August in Ada!  We had fun at our yearly festival and we were lucky to have Jack, Leah, and Will come with us.

 Running through the fire hose!
Driveway fun!  How many kids can you fit on a one kid Buzz Light Year toy?
We had Carson's birthday party at Ada Park and it was a blast!  We had Grandma and Grandpa Brang, Aunt Sarah and Uncle Mike, Uncle Nader, Aunt Beth, and Eliana come help us celebrate!  We also had our amazing neighbors and Carson's school buddy Carson.  It was such a nice day.

Carson got Eliana this pink seal that winds up and swims in the bathtub for Eliana since she couldn't have the candy cups we made for the other kids.
 Spongebob Cake!
Carson was so happy he really had the nicest party.  He played with his friends on the playground for hours like he had never been there before and he was so grateful for the gifts and for everyone who came.  It was a day you could tell Carson was so appreciative without Patrick or me reminding him to be...which was so nice.

Carson said his cake was a little too sweet...and then there was Laney who was scavenging more frosting from other pieces!

It took about 587 swings with a plastic bat but Carson figured out a way to get that candy out eventually.

I love this photo because I was standing right there when Carson brought his best buddy Max over and said, "I want to show Max Eliana.  She's really nice Max.  Isn't she cute?".

Think my kids like the Wilkins Family much?

All the kids from the hood!
Where's Eliana at in all those toys?
Grandpa was a real trooper spending a couple hours trying to make one small lego helicopter...I think we will just hide those for now.
Aunt Sarah and Uncle Mike invited us up to their lake house for the day! They are so patient with the kids as they ask to use absolutely everything they have.  They get off the jet ski and ask to go on the pontoon, then the speed boat, then the kayak and paddle board...I hope Aunt Sarah and Uncle Mike took a good long nap after we left.

This year Carson paddle boarded on  his own and I'm actually pretty sure Laney could have too if I would have let her.

Carson always asks to ride Uncle Mike's "fast boat" but as soon as we get some speed going he asks him to slow down.  He really WANTS to be daring.

Happy Birthday Carson!  On my birthday Carson brought me breakfast in bed (all his idea) and he informed us that he wanted the same on his birthday.  He also asked my Mom if she had a breakfast tray we could borrow about a month ago, so it's been on his mind.  So we all brought him pancakes in bed and sang to him first thing in the morning!
Then of course Laney got right to giving out her gifts to him!
And then for a special treat Grandma packed a picnic lunch for everyone and Grandma and Grandpa took us to a watch area by the airport where you can watch the planes landing and taking off.  Carson didn't think it sounded that exciting until we pulled up and he saw a plane speeding by and taking off...it was pretty exciting!

Last, Carson's pick for dinner was to order pizza and have an ice cream cake with Grandma and Grandpa here to celebrate with us.
