Lemonade and Movie Nights

 Our first lemonade stand of the summer.  Carson earned $3.50 that he donated to church for the Vacation Bible School Fundraiser for clean water.

 This year BOTH kids were able to attend VBS...it was the best few mornings EVER!  All the free time!  I got so much accomplished...and then Friday came and Laney's class needed a sub....ugh!  No really though it was fun to get to work with her little cute group.

 This was all Carson's idea, ofcourse....he tied the toilet paper around his nose like a ninja so he could still watch television during his bloody nose.

 See....my kids really do get along sometimes!  Carson helped Laney put every barrette that she owns in her hair all at once.  They were so excited to come down and show Patrick and I.

 Muscle Man!  Carson saw these "bar bells" at the kids library and he went right into acting mode!  Like he's seen weight lifting before or something.  I was dying.  Just dying.

Last week it finally got HOT!  We went back to Grand Haven Beach with Grandma and Grandpa and this time the kids spent almost the entire day in the water!  Thank goodness Grandma and Grandpa were there to keep up with them!

Laney pulled my Mom on the boogie board all by herself.  She was so proud of herself.

 One morning I got up early and went out for a run and this is how Laney came downstairs for Patrick.  She hopped her crib and put on these tennis shoes on herself.  It was quite a look.

 Another hot day we met Grandma and Grandpa at Meijer Gardens!

 Our neighbors had a "Family Movie Night" last week!  It was our second one of the summer and just so much fun.  The older kids planned a bunch of games for the younger kids to play until it got dark...then they made popcorn for everyone while the movie got started!  Laney didn't make it through the movie, as you can see she didn't sit still like she was supposed to.  But Carson held on until about 11:30pm when he fell asleep on the driveway blanket with just minutes in the movie to go.  There had to have been about 20 kids who came.  It was so fun to catch up with all our neighbors!

 Last weekend we spent the night at Aunt Sarah and Uncle Blakes house!  Aunt Sarah even hid Easter eggs for the kids since it was such a big hit back at Easter time.  She knows how to put a smile on their faces!  We all had a great time and as you can see, Uncle Blake was busy being Uncle of the Year!

 Eliana started crawling so the kids were super excited to see her new skills for themselves!  Carson can't wait for her to be able to chase him.

Aunt Sarah surprised Carson with his birthday gift, balloons, and cupcakes for an early birthday surprise!

 That is one wet kiss!

 My old neighbor Pat back in Clarkston owns a horse and was kind to let the kids come out to ride him, feed him, and even give him a bath!

 Dakota loved the apples the kids picked from Auntie's yard.

 Last year Laney rode Dakota with Carson, this year she was on her own!

 We also hit up the Splash Park while we were in Clarkston!  Laney was an ANIMAL running through all that water this year!

 Looks like Grandpa is going to get pretty wet!

 This week they had face painters at the Ada Farmer's Market.  Laney asked for a dolphin and Carson just asked for a "jungle face".  I think they both got what they asked for.
