Bringing up Baby Brang!: And There Went September...

We passed on Carson's Dora Jeep to Eliana this past week...Carson had to get a few more rides in before it had to go. Laney was never really into it and it will be a while before Evie can drive it and Carson, well he'd ride it all day if he could but he weighs it down so much it can barely move when hes on it. Gosh he got some good rides out of that thing way back when.

Everson LOVES hanging with her cousin Maeve. She gets so excited to see her on face time and especially in person.

She still loves to read! She constantly takes a book over to Carson or Laney and just backs herself right up into their lap.

Yeah, I may have gone overboard with the chalk Mom. This girl can't go a day without a bath. Not. One. Day.

Lunch date with Grandma at Founders while Dad was traveling around Spain! We just couldn't stay away.

Patrick got to travel around Spain for 2 weeks for work and he had a blast. He has lots of great pics and stories. Two weeks was a long time, but the kids and I, well, we had a pretty awesome time ourselves. I really enjoy being home with my family I can't even pretend like it was miserable. I was extra thankful for my parents (and Marsha and Richard) help during soccer Saturday mornings! Laney is a goal scoring machine this year. She is really coming out of her shell and she can't wait for soccer to come around every week. I think we got this one hooked :-)

Evie had her very first sucker while she was watching Carson's soccer game and she was nothing but pleased about her new discovery!

Carson's newest thing is playing goalie. He got some real goalie gloves and he has begged his coach to let him try it out. He's even going to extra practices each week to work on it. He's really trying hard and practicing as much as he can, more so than he ever has with any sport.

Still the best part of soccer...the snack!

Evie's favorite thing to do is watch videos of herself and/or Carson and Laney on the ipad.

Thanks to Grandma for being willing to watch Everson so I can sub at the kids school every now and then. Last week I got to sub in Laney's class, which was so fun for me. I subbed in that same classroom when Carson was in kindergarten and it feels like it was just yesterday.

It took a couple of weeks for me to get over Laney going off to kindergarten and both big kids being gone all day, but Evie and I have found our groove and we are having way too much fun! This isn't so bad after all! The weather has been so nice so we go on lots of runs, walks to the park, and bike rides. She is a big fan of story time at the library and loves to stay and play a while, and we go and visit Nana most days too! Evie acts like she owns the place when we go for our visit. She chats and waves to her friends in the hallways and knows exactly where she is going. She knocks on Nana's door and calls out something I can't quite understand, and once we are inside she heads straight to Nana's side table where she is sure to find a snack. I certainly can't complain. She is the most enjoyable little nugget we are just so lucky to be able to see my Grandma so often!

Laney started gymnastics this month! Like, real gymnastics at a real gym..not just our usual open gym stuff. She's been asking for over a year so she's pretty excited about it. She's a rock star. The girl has upper body strength like you can't even believe.

I think Evie may have missed Patrick more than anyone! She loves pulling up a chair and sitting by him when he eats his breakfast. Sometimes she just gets in his face and stares at him.

Sprinklers...in September...yes please! It's been so hot that the kids have had to stay inside for recess at school. What?! I've never even heard of such a thing! So when they came home they were ready to run around outside. And going through them with your clothes still on makes it all the more fun.

Everson was a big fan of the popsicle treats.

Most exciting of all, we got to meet our two new baby cousins this month! Our first nephews! Nicholas and Oliver were born on September 14th and the kids were just counting down the days until they got to meet them. We picked them up a little early from school and went to Midland for a quick afternoon trip because we just couldn't wait any longer! We just love these adorable boys! They are going to be so fun! Carson is holding Oliver above, and Laney has Nicholas.

It's that time of year for our annual trip to Gull Meadows Farm! This is the first year that it hasn't been raining and cold. We were totally out of our element in the warm sun!

Laney claimed she had never seen a real rainbow over a year ago. So for over a year we've been on the lookout. Patrick will call from his car sometimes to ask if we can see the one he see's and we've never been able to. But this time he called, and bam! She was so happy!
