Carson's 4th Grade Musical! Ugh...I did not go to this expecting tears but this Mama is having a hard time with this being Carson's last elementary school musical. He's been in a musical every year thanks to his one of a kind music teacher and he's loved every single one. It's mind boggling what these kids can do at this age! I have loved watching this group grow up from kindergarten to big 4th graders! The musical was called, Possibilities, and the kids were all supposed to dress up like what they imagine themselves being one day. Carson chose to be a professional soccer player :-)
The big day...Halloween!!! The kids have been telling Evie all about how she will be getting candy, she's been practicing her "Trick Treat", she pretends she's knocking on doors, she's in her costume, she was ready to go get started at the library time "Trick or Treat"....and BOMB. The library gave out lots of goodies, non edible goodies like stickers and erasers etc. OMG this girl had a MELTDOWN. She was in it for the candy and this was NOT what she had been told about. I had to find a piece of candy in my purse and let her eat it in the corner of the library while the rest of the kids went around just so we could get out of there in one piece.

After library time it was time for the kids school Halloween Parade and parties! Patrick helped out at Laney's party, Grandpa stayed home with Everson, and Grandma helped me run Carson's party that I was in charge of. It takes a village!
Carson's werewolf costume didn't last long that kid was SWEATING it in there.
4th grade Halloween party = a success! Cue the tears for Carson's last school Halloween party. I can't even! What am I going to do his senior year of high school?!
And right after school let out we were open for our neighborhood Halloween Party in our garage! This was our 3rd annual party and people are starting to come in the masses, which we love. We think we had 80+ people outside our house for hot dogs and drinks before trick-or-treating started. We went through 50 hot dogs like whoa...next year we need even more food! The kids had a massive football game going. The weather couldn't have been nicer. Everyone had a great time. Best Halloween yet!
Carson and Laney ran off with their friends so Grandpa and I took Evie around while Grandma stayed back to pass out candy. Evie went up to every house by herself I was so impressed! She had the system down! This was her first stop at our neighbors house.
We found our buddy Hazel and first thing Everson had to peak into her bucket to compare how much candy she can collected. Too funny!
She went all the way around the block and when she was done, she was done. Ready to sit by Grandma and eat candy for the rest of the night. Grandma went through 500 pieces of candy! We had close to 300 trick-or-treaters according to our nieghbors. It's a big night in Ada Moorings!
Carson tagged along with the Yost family and stayed out the entire two hours. His new claim to fame is that he hit every house in our neighborhood. Let me tell you it was HARD getting these kids to school the next morning.
