Disney World Part 2 of 3: Universal Studios and Harry Potter World!

Day 3 was the only day it rained on and off in the morning.  But by the afternoon it was sunny once again, and the park wasn't so crowded that day either so it worked out well for us.  Days 3 and 4 were all Universal!  Harry Potter World was quite the spectacle, even for someone who hasn't read the books.  The rides were unreal, roller coasters that moved and were 4D...I was popping motion sickness pills like they were candy.
 Butter Beer for everyone!

So Patrick bought the kids their own wands in Harry Potter World.  They weren't cheap BUT you can walk around the park and do actual magic with these wands.  Pretty cool!  So, the kids went off with Auntie to do a ride a second time while some of us relaxed with some butter bear.  All of a sudden Uncle Adam and Patrick are sneaking off with the kids wands trying to do some magic.  At one point they turned around and there was a line of little kids behind them.  I was dying.  Fun for all ages I guess!
Here the kids were able to turn the water fountain on why the correct wave of their wand.  It took some practice but they got it.  There are actual sensors in each wand so they have to do it just right for it to work.

We got to ride on the Hogwarts Express Train to the other park to visit the second half of Harry Potter World.  So exciting!  This Harry Potter World is like a whole park in itself!
The kids loved Dr. Seuss land!

Universal is set up more for big kids than little kids in  my opionion...however, we had NO IDEA they had Barney!  I took Maeve and Evie to see Barney and play in his playground both days and they couldn't get enough.  Evie is still asking  me everyday if we can go back and see Barney.

While I was at Barney with the little bits, Auntie had Laney and Carson on some wild rides that my stomach just couldn't handle.  With such a big group it was so easy to make sure everyone got to do exactly what they wanted!

 More butter beer...big hit!

Nothing like getting a REAL wizards help.

Auntie treated the kids to some special Harry Potter candy from the candy shop.  Lucky ducks!
Here's some of what we did at Universal:
 Harry Potter World
Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts
Wands and Butter Beer
Hogwarts Express from Diagon Ally to Hogsmeade
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey Ride
Spider Man
Doctor Doom
Rip It Rocket
Moes for Duff Beer
Met Puss and Boots
Simpson's Ride
Barney Show
Dr. Seuss Carousel
NBC Sports Grill for Dinner
Hulk Ride
Cat in the Hat World
Met Grinch, Things 1 and 2, and Cat in the Hat
Mummy Ride
Shrek Ride
The Live Animal Show

What's so nice is that they have Child Swap here too!  Just like at Disney, if we all wanted to do a ride that the little kids couldn't do, they just stand in line with us at when we get to the end someone stays back with the little kids and when the riders return, we swap the kids out and go on the ride right away.  They even let you take a couple guests with you so that meant 4 of us got to ride the ride twice, back to back.  So we did big rides like Space Mountain and the Forbidden Journey twice back to back.
