Laney is 7!

Bug catchers ready for some action!

Always a good day at Meijer Gardens!

Ice cream at Aunties!  Whoo Hoo!
My Dad and I took all the kids to the Kalamazoo Air Zoo one day during our Spring Break.  Thank GOD Carson and Laney were allowed and willing to take the Evie and Maeve on the fun rides, because I was feeling whoosy after one spin.

Everson was Carson's little buddy...they just went on ride after ride after ride.

Just chilling on the washing machine waiting for our company to arrive.

Carson came up with this awesome game. He pulls Evie up the driveway in her car, using his hoverboard, let's her go at the top, then swing around and catches her right before she heads into the street.  She had the MOST fun.

Finally 7!  This girl got herself breakfast in bed just the way she likes it, full of sugar!  Patrick face timed with us all the way from Spain to sing her "Happy Birthday" and be there for breakfast.
Oh pancakes in bed?  Don't mind if I do!  Evie wasted NO time hopping under Laney's covers and eating her pancakes with her hands.  Good thing Laney loves to share so much!

Happy birthday sweet Laney.  I don't know anyone in the world just like you, so kind yet so strong, brave, caring, and crazy!  You have a spunk that you were born with and I hope you NEVER lose.  We couldn't ask for a better sister, friend, and daughter.  Keep spreading your light Laney!  My big 7 year old!

Hahahah...my rainboots.
Laney had a birthday party at our gymnastics place.  These girls had way too much fun.

Laila, Kaylee, Thapasya, Abby, Laney, Kate, Alexis, and Hazel.

Early morning FREEZING cold post soccer game donuts.
Totally worth freezing our butt's off.

Annual egg decorating with GRANDMA!!

Easter morning fun!
Our church had an Easter egg hunt after the service...Evie was a little slow on the uptake so the big kids had to really show her what was up with the eggs.

By the time we got home, the Easter bunny had swung by and left tons of eggs outside for the kids to find.  Evie started getting the hang of it by then...with a sucker in her mouth of course.

And then still a neighborhood egg hunt later that day!  Evie DEFINITELY knew what to do by then!  She's still out looking for eggs a week later.

That's right...Laney is at it again!  Trying something new is her jam and this time, it's softball!  The first game she didn't even know she was supposed to run when she hit the ball.  By the second game she was really getting the hang of it!  She absolutely loves it.  She joined without knowing anything about the game (except you get to hit balls with a bat) and without knowing anyone on her team.  I am so envious that she can do that with such confidence.  She makes friends so easily.  I'm so proud of her for trying something new and for working so hard at it all the while having fun.  Patrick absolutely LOVES watching her play he can't wait for her games every week.  So now she's done soccer, ballet, basketball, and softball..and I dare say she loves them all. She wants to try lacrosse too but we are maxed out playing both soccer and softball during the same season, so lacrosse will have to wait for now.
