Caberfae and the End of Winter Break!

Playing with the new Christmas play doh!
Carson got to see the new Star Wars movie with Uncle Adam, Patrick, and Grandpa!
We took a day trip to Grandma and Grandpa Brang's house to visit with baby Audrey!  This is a pic of the kids waiting and watching from the window as she was arriving.  Babies are so exciting!

Newfound besties lately!  Uncle Patrick LOVES it up!

Dance party time!

One morning we got to have breakfast with my childhood nieghbor Mary Therese. She lived next door to us in some of my earliest memories.  We just thought she was the cutest, sweetest, little girl!  Our families have always stayed in touch and we jumped at the chance to see her when she was in town.
Ski trip to Caberfae Peaks!  Patrick called Caberfae right after Christmas to see if we could get some rooms for New Years Eve and they were all booked up.  Then we got a call, two days before, that a room opened up!  We were so grateful my parents were willing to make the trip with us to hang out with Evie while we got in some night time skiing.  It was a tight squeeze in our one hotel room but totally worth it!  Well, we all think it was worth it...hopefully Mom and Dad had some fun too :-)

After skiing we all went out to dinner.  There was a New Years Eve DJ that started at 8 so the girls got to do some dancing too.

After dinner we hit the pool!  This was the highlight for the kids.  Swimming in the pool with the snow coming down, it was CRAZY!  Evie talks about it every single day and asks when she can go back to that hotel.

Snow angel in the snow!  Only you, Laney Kay!

Sparkling cider, snacks, and the countdown to New Years on TV back in the room.  The kids made it to about 11:45...Laney was the last one up she was sooooo close!  Maybe next year.
On New Years Day Grandma and Grandpa took Evie back to their house for the day so we could get our ski on.  We had perfect weather and had the best time!

 Making oreo balls with Auntie!
Ice skating at Rosa Parks Circle in Grand Rapids is one of our favorite traditions.  Evie loved it, then she was mad she kept falling, then she whined for a while, and then she didn't want to leave!  She just didn't know what to think about this activity.

Working on the activity boxes Grandma and Grandpa Brang sent them for Christmas.  Perfect for a rainy day!  Now the kids are back to school and I don't think we could have packed any more fun into their 2 week break.  We didn't have one boring day and we couldn't have asked for anything more.  Everyone stayed healthy, we spent so much time with family, friends, neighbors, and we got to enjoy the outdoors!
