Not much snow this year...but we get into it any chance we get!
Carson had his 5th grade musical. This is half of his graduating class, the other half performed the next night. He's in the back in green. They always do such an impressive job and try to make his Mom shed some tears.
Grandma and Grandpa took us out for donuts after Laney's basketball game!
Patrick got to serve waffles to Evie's class on pajama day. She was so excited to take her Daddy to school with her!
This Mom got a girls weekend in FLORIDA! Up top Amanda is reading to the girls before bed the night before our early departure. Do your best friends come over and snuggle in with your kids to read to them? I know I'm lucky! I hope and pray my kids find their "people" when they get older and that they hold on to them. No matter how much time goes by we can pick right up where we left off. These girls just fill me up.
We had an amazing time to say the least. And back at home Daddy was having fun times with the kids. He also had lots of help from Grandma and Grandpa. Daddy-Daughter dance night Grandma did Laney's hair and got her all ready to go. Carson and Evie got to have a sleepover with them while Laney and Patrick went to dinner and danced the night away. Laney looks forward to this day all year!
Can't see them, but she's wearing her cowgirl boots! Patrick loves it because when he goes out with Laney she just loves to hold his hand.
Went to cheer on Maeve at her first swim lessons! She was so brave!
We met our friends the Gorings at MSU for a hockey game. This is seriously Evie's favorite sport to watch! They got to throw pucks on the ice in between periods and Carson and Ali actually got up on the Jumbotron! He didn't see it but I did.
These late night games can wear a girl out!
Catch Air with the girls! Evie has been begging to go and Laney was so sweet to take her all around.
Valentine's Day celebrations at 3 different schools this year! Whew! Evie was pretty excited with all those valentines. She had no idea this was happening!
Carson's 5th grade class headed to the bowling alley for thier Valentine's Day celebration. No mushy gushy love notes getting passed around that school, no way! I got to chaperone the trip and Carson got a gutter ball and then a spare on his first go round. All his friends cheered he was so excited. It went downhill from there but I'm glad I caught his joy on camera. We obviously need to take our kids bowling more often.
And finally Laney enjoyed her traditional class party. Kids just love opening valentines it's so fun to watch.
That night we decided to have a Valentine's Day party at our house! We had the whole family come over ,we did crafts, made pizzas, and had cupcakes! It was the best!

I volunteer at our church every quarter when they host homeless families through IHN. The last two times I took Carson with me to help play with the kids in the program while their parents get some down time. For how much fighting he does with his siblings at home, it's so nice to see how much he loves on these kiddos. He enjoys it and really takes good care of them. This time he figured out a way to create a ball pit with some blockades. Those little ones were so happy playing with him.

Nature walk with Charlotte! We love letting Charlotte run around off leash down by the river. Everson just laughs and laughs. They play around like they are best friends.
