We started going back to Meijer Gardens on some nice days....Evie was like "Hey I remember this place!!"...oh Covid you really stopped time right in it's tracks somehow.

Being outdoors with our friends has really made us smile.
Soccer came back!!! OMG something NORMAL! Well not totally, we all had to wear masks, including players and spectators, and we've had to work around only being allowed 2 spectators for each player (which means my family of 5 couldn't all go to any one game), BUT....you know what it worked! The kids didn't miss a beat with those masks and we made it all work out. I can honestly say watching them play has brought more joy to me than ever before. Laney is playing so hard, so tough, and having so much fun with the best group of girls and with only one game left, they are undefeated. Carson is so happy to be back with his team and his coach of several years now and is playing goalie, defense, and offense! His team is in a tougher division than they should have been so there haven't been many wins but he loves getting to go to practice and being with his friends. And Evie...Evie is playing soccer Y'ALL!!! And the girl CAN PLAY! She's small but mighty. Patrick is the coach and Uncle Adam is the assistant coach and we have our neighborhood friends and our buddy Cameron's niece, Poppy, and my best friend Kate's daughter Renley, all on the team and it's just too much fun to watch these littles run around! We LOVE soccer Saturday's! We will never complain about them again :-)

I took the kids dirt biking at Cannonsburg one afternoon. Carson loved it, the girls liked climbing the hill better.
And so it begins...our group is starting to turn 40!!! AHHHHH! Happy birthday to the very best, Svids!
Did I mention we are getting our main floor completely renovated?! Mr. Roy slaved at our house day in and day out for almost 4 weeks. Evie became pretty fond of him and loved helping him bang away with her plastic tools.
Did I also mention WE GOT A 2nd DOG!!!! Nya came to us from Rochester's Leader Dog for the Blind School. She's just amazing pup, so sweet, so well trained, just got a little stressed under that intense training and they decided that wasn't the job for her. Her puppy raiser parent, Carol, was so kind and allow us to adopt her from them. She came to us right in the midst of our renovations and I thought it was going to be super crazy but in all honesty, it wasn't. She makes this whole family better. We all love her to pieces, and Charlotte and her get along like they were just made to be sisters. They go everywhere together and never leave each other's side. The kids are just over the moon to have 2 dogs, and so am I. I feel like we won the lottery with Nya, just the perfect fit for us.

And back to Meijer Garden again...trying to make it outside to all these places before it gets cold!
We were so excited to go back to Gull Meadows Farms this year. It was FREEZING but it was nice and spread out and we had a great time. Brought home 3 bags of donuts so the day was pretty good.

School has been going great so far. I started subbing again this week and it was so fun to get back in their with all the kids. They just wear those masks and follow all of the hundred new rules and procedures and just do it all with such happiness...and the teachers, Don't Even Get Me Started. As if they weren't superheros already, of course they have found a way to teach the kids, keep them safe, make it so they only touch their own supplies, keep them distanced, and still love on them and keep them wanting to come back the next day. Hats off to teachers!
