Hungry Birds

 The start of the new school year means SOCCER IS BACK!  Laney prepared a special cheer for Evie's first game and even made her own pom pom's out of paper.  She performed at "half time" and at the end of the game for the team all the parents.  This girl NEVER STOPS.  It was a hot one, but a really fun first game!

Lion's Game for Patrick, Kevin, Siri, and Adam!  They had a blast.  

Laney's team had an awesome first game too.  Laney stopped a penalty kick, was a BEAST in the goal box, AND scored a goal in the few minutes she got to play on offense!

Laney's Girl Scout Troop had to say a sad good-bye to one of the best, Aahdya.  She is also our neighbor and really close with Laney.  Her family is moving to Atlanta, Georgia and we are all torn up about it.  This was a really hard thing for Laney to work through.  Aahdya usually picks up Laney every morning in our driveway so they can walk to the bus stop together.  You won't be surprised, but Laney wrote a rap for her :-)

Evie had a blast at her friend Colin's birthday party.  They brought a farm to their front yard!  

Peri turned 1 year old!!  Oh my goodness our youngest baby cousin isn't a baby anymore!  But that smile though...

Last minute, we grabbed some tickets to the Minnesota vs. MSU football game. We had lunch with the Wilkins at Pizza House, then walked around campus before the game.  The kids had so much fun, despite the loss, the really ugly loss.  Laney and Evie were holding those signs cheering their hearts out the whole time!  We still love you State!  

This is Laney's restaurant, "Hungry Birds".  You should try it someday!  Laney made her famous Mac n Cheese (with a little help from Mom), bacon, fruit, and dessert.  She had us all sit in the dining room and she gave us her menu and took our orders.  That girl was in character and running like crazy.  She even made a restroom sign and hung it on the bathroom door.  Let me tell you, she makes one AMAZING waitress.  At the end she sat down and said, "whew, waitressing is A LOT of work".  Good thing she had a good bus boy named Dad to do all the dishes.  Thanks Laney!
