Laney's cheering section for volleyball. Love these girlies. Laney LOVED playing volleyball for her middle school. Gosh she learned and grew so much, and especially learned a lot about the mental game. Sports teaches so many life lessons so naturally. If you ask her RIGHT NOW, volleyball is her new favorite. I'm not sad about it.
In other news, my elementary school, Thornapple, got a Pride Pup this year! Sunni is our comfort dog and I get to be his handler while he works at school. So, every day, all day, this here is my buddy. I am really loving this extra company!
Laney got some glasses to wear part - time...so cute on her. Now that I'm writing this I don't think I've actually seen her wearing them lately...hmmm

Carson had an awesome Fall Crew season. Last Fall every single regatta was raining/sleeting/snowing and freezing cold. We've had nothing but warm sun and Carson has been loving getting to row in the 2x double with his best buddy Cole and also getting to row in the varsity boats! One day, Cole and Carson were just cruising in their Superman uniforms, hats backwards, and looking like they had a 2nd place finish in the bag, when they flipped their boat about 100 yards before the finish line. They had to get towed in and Carson saved his prescription sunglasses (whew!)...they were all smiles when they go to shore and it was a good learning experience. It happens quite a bit in rowing so nothing to be ashamed of, but I don't think Carson ever thought it would actually happen to HIM. They came back and got a solid 2nd place finish the following week in the same race! Crew regatta's are long but gosh I love spending the whole day watching these kids out there on their boats.
A wet "walk of shame"...haha, not really.
Grandpa and Auntie took Carson to Cincinnati again this year for a Bengals game. It was a hot one, a super exciting game, that Cincinnati lost right at the end, but Carson had the best time.

Evie's teacher, Mrs. Nienhouse, is really into the Northern Lights and has been teaching them all about it. Evie has been on the hunt and we missed them a couple times, so when my neighbor alerted me one night we just had to get Evie up and out of bed! It was 10pm on a school night but it was worth dragging her out of bed and to Ada Park to get a clear sky view. I learned so much from her! Carson really got into it as well. It's definitely something I will always remember, I hope Carson and Evie do too.

After the dance we picked the kids up so they could have a game night at our house. Carson keeps the best company, makes me so happy.

1 weekend, 4 soccer games, Homecoming football tailgate, parade, and game, Homecoming Dance, Grandpa and Grandma's birthdays, a friend birthday party for Evie, and the Row-a-thon. That was one BUSY weekend, but look at all those smiles!
