Spring Break 2026

Spring Break 2026!  North Captiva Island with the Bonofiglio's!  Carson started his spring break at a crew camp in South Carolina.  He joined up with us on Easter Sunday.  The 4 of us got to spend some time in the Delta Lounge for the first time and needless to say we thoroughly enjoyed it!  The endless candy, desserts, drinks, comfy chairs...the girls were living the high life!

Made it to the ferry...now vaca really begins!!

Our Manatee friends were right were we left them!  And they were more active than we've ever seen them.  Wrestling and playing around right in front of us.
A family worked on this turtle for days.  We were so impressed.

We got to run in the North Captiva Fun Run this year.

Evie was so proud she caught a fish.

Top pick is Carson and Cole at camp.  The bottom is Grandpa helping out a group of parents to prep the boathouse for the massive flooding that was happening back at home.  Thanks Grandpa!

Carson had a big welcoming when he came in on that boat!  His day started with a driver taking him an hour to the Columbia, SC airport, then a layover in Atlanta, a driver taking him from Fort Myers airport to the ferry, and hopping on the last boat to the island with 15 minutes to spare.  Whew!

Easter Sunrise Service...and we saw a dolphin swim along the shoreline.  It was hard to hear with the waves but it was joyful and moving all the same.

New this year, we rented a jet ski!  Carson was able to take turns picking up the kids from the shore and taking them on rides.  For some of them, dolphins were swimming and jumping in their wake!

Reminiscing Barnacles days from 25 years ago.

This iguana was at least 3 feet long!  We've never seen one this big in the wild before.
Can't stop won't stop North Captiva.  It's our favorite place and we love spending the week with our best friends.  So grateful for this place we get to visit!
