Confirmation and Tippy Boats

 Came back from Spring Break just in time to celebrate Laney's 14th birthday!  We always start off the day with a scavenger hunt for gifts.

She's been BEGGING for highlights so this was a big surprise for her.  There's never been anyone so happy for a hair appointment. 

Evie got some special Auntie and cousins time while we took Laney and her friends out to dinner for her birthday party!

Laney had a big cheering section for her hurdle running in track!  

Love these girls and these friendships so much.  

Carson and Cole have been tearing it up this season!  They are locked into that double and just as thich as theives.  

Laney actually crushed track this year.  This girl got pretty used to coming in 1st or 2nd in the 55m hurdles and the 200m hurdles, not to mention the long jump.  She was invited to the district and regional meet too. 

Gaaaahhhh!  We got to cheer on Peri-pear during her first season of soccer!

Dr. Cam brought his babies to Laney's soccer game and the girls were smitten.

Oh yeah, in other BIG news:  Laney got confirmed!!!

We didn't have too much time to celebrate because soccer, field hockey, ALL THE THINGS.  But we were so grateful our family could be there. 

Gma and Gpa Brang made it out to a regatta too!

Oh this race, on Orchard Lake St. Mary's.  I put in this pic just so you can get a feel for how tippy and narrow these doubles are.  

They raced their hearts out, I was watching on the drone footage on TV, they gave it their all in final sprint trying to come from behind...then, as they crossed the finish...

yep you probably guessed it, flip!  Patrick was at this regatta so I got to watch it live on TV and listen to the commentary.  They got a TON of air time.  I got to watch Carson and Cole waving to everyone from the rescue boat and all the slow motion replays.  They were laughing and hugging each other.  It was quite the race and made for a funny story, if only it hadn't been SO COLD.  

At team dinner the next week, the boys were gifted floaties by their teamates.  Gosh I love crew.
