Hard to see but Carson is down in the bottom right in the orchestra pit at our Forest Hills Central High School graduation. He had the honor of playing during the ceremony and our Michigan governor, Gretchen Whitmer, was the commencement speaker! I went to hear Carson play and to get to hear her speech, which was AWESOME by the way. She is a graduate of Forest Hills Central. Pretty cool.
End of the year Thornapple Walk-a-thon...our last one!
The kindergarten teachers hatched baby chicks this Spring so we got to sneak some extra chick snuggles in before school started. Our school therapy dog, Sunni, found some new friends. It was so gosh darn cute.
Evie got to play soccer in Traverse City at the Cherry Cup again this year. Thanks for coming to watch Grandma and Grandpa Brang!
Checking the standings with Coach Hannah...Carson and Cole brought home silver at States! They were a hair short of gold. Such a great season for these two.
And a silver medal in the quad as well. These boys are 🔥!
CROM! The crew version of PROM since they are traveling for crew every year on prom weekend..
Fieldtrip to the zoo!
Oh man, getting ready for 8th grade Celebration looks a lot different for girls than it does for boys. Carson threw on whatever he could find 10 minutes before we left. These girls went all out.
My birthday! My day started with an early morning surprise visit from my favorite family with breakfast too!
At Carson's Crew Banquet he got the honor of being named one of the captains of the men's team next year. It's a BIG deal on this team. He had to apply and get references and it was really competative. We are so happy for him.
Graduation open houses have started Gaahhhh! Laney and her friends worked at one just to lend some extra help.
Last crew regatta...this time in Canada! The kids finished their last final exam and got right onto the bus, no time to leave school and grab lunch even! They rowed from Thursday to Sunday. It was a whirlwind but it was fun! Patrick left early with the coaches crew to help set up before the kids got there.
I stayed back an extra day to see Evie off from her last day in elementary school! We've had a kid in this school for 12 years. So many changes coming up next year, Evie heads to the 5/6 building, Laney starts high school, and I don't even want to think about it but senior year is upon us.
Bye-bye Thornnapple. You were so good to us. What a time that was.
Summer party time!
We brought Sunni home with us on the last day of school while his family took a 2 week trip. Starting the summer off with 3 dogs...and ICE CREAM!!!
Here we go! My favorite time of year!!!!!
