Laney and Minnie all snuggled up...on the coffee table with 2 empty couches and an empty chair in the room.
Laney and I have a deal that she will sit in the jogging stroller and go for a run with me as long as we stop by the park when we run by.
Laney FINALLY got a real haircut. My Mom has been trying to trim her up but she never sits still for more than 6 seconds! So we took her in to watch Grandma get her haircut and as you can see she was also lured with a bowl full of lollipops and it worked! I mean we could have cut a lot more but she sat for a few minutes and got a decent trim so I cannot complain. She loved watching Grandma first!

Patrick and my Dad ran the Reeds Lake 5k last weekend and Carson ran his second annual Kids Race! Grandma and Grandpa Brang were here visiting and cheering him on as well! Carson ran 3 races that day including a 100, 200, and the 400 meter run. (not to mention the lap he ran as a warm up because he was so excited!) During one race he lost his shoe and fell back in the pack but kept running as fast as he could once Daddy fixed him up. After he crossed the finish line he came running up to me and said, "I still caught up and past SOME people even though I lost my shoe Mom"...uh oh he must have some of my Dad in him!

We had such a fun weekend from the races to just hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa Brang and Aunt Beth by the blowup pool! Carson even found out Aunt Beth's special secret...that there is a baby in her belly!!!! He told her that the baby is stealing all her food and when he got up early Sunday morning he told us he wasn't going to wake up Aunt Beth like he normally would because the baby needs to sleep a little longer. He is very excited to meet his first cousin! (And Mommy is SUPER EXCITED to be an AUNT!!)
