Go Number 7!

 Ahhhhh....Laney Bug is going to preschool!  This photo was on her orientation day.  She was so excited to go, had no problem with Patrick and I leaving the room to go to the parent meeting.  She was mad she didn't get to stay longer!

 Guess who it is?  Our old pal Cookie!  Carson asked Laney to talk to his old teacher Mrs. Neeley to see if we could bring Cookie home for the weekend sometime this year.  Well Laney went right to asking her and guess what?  We got Cookie the very next day!  We needed Auntie here to take him out of the cage, none of us were brave enough.  But we pet him every day and fed him lots of grass and cucumbers!

 Aunt Sarah came to visit for the weekend and got right to getting Laney ready in the "salon" and putting a pony tail in her hair.

 Carson had his first soccer game in the big league last weekend!  He's been back and forth on whether or not he wanted to play, so Patrick and I decided for him that he should give it a shot.  He was reluctant to go on Saturday morning after he was all dressed and ready.  What I found out is that it wasn't because he didn't want to play soccer...oh no...it was because his socks are too tight and he they itch him. Oh Carson.  Only you.

 Practice before the game!  Carson's coach just happens to be Patrick's friend and old boss from Steelecase, Mr. Brad!

 Go Number 7!  The kids play 3 on 3 and rotate in and out to give everyone equal playing time.  Carson did SO GOOD!  We were very pleasantly surprised, not knowing at all how this was going to go.  He kicked the ball several times, and what we were really impressed with was how much he was really thinking the game through.  When the other team would start driving down the field, Carson was run away from the pack, sprint down the field, and stand in the goal. (We honestly weren't even sure he knew how the goal/goalie thing worked) He was the fastest kid on the team.  Now if we could just get some aggressiveness in him!

 Go Carson Go!  Laney was quite the cheerleader for her big brother!  She had the option of going to play at the park but she was not leaving that game.

 Soccer Saturday's are off to a great start!

 After soccer Aunt Sarah and Laney took a nap :-)  Then we took her to Robinettes for cider and donuts!

 Our favorite thing to do after church is to pop in to Grandma and Grandpa's house!  This time Grandma had a special project for the kids.  Carson LOVED making these little breakfast balls with dough, chocolate chips, cream cheese, sugar, and cinnamon.  He was purposely going slowly because he said it was so fun he didn't want it to end.  Laney did a fabulous job eating most of the chocolate chips before they made it into the balls.

Laney's official first day!  I walked her in because that's what all the parents were doing (instead of using the drop off carpool line), and she was mad because she wanted to make sure I knew I didn't get to stay.  She wanted to do this all on her own!  She had the best first day.  She was all smiles and telling me all about her day!  Her teachers couldn't believe what a monkey she is.  They said they've never seen a three year old go across the monkey bars.  Mrs. Sullivan said, "You failed to mention how strong she is!".
