And look at those boots! Carson still loves playing at the Children's Museum whenever he gets the chance.
Yep...that's Laney up in that tree. She was much higher before, we had to set some limits.
Laney LOVES riding her bike but she hasn't quite mastered the brakes. When we were leaving the park she started going pretty fast down the big hill and couldn't stop so she went straight into the woods. It was pretty funny considering she wasn't close to any trees. She just sat there, mad, for several minutes. Like it was my fault!
Look at that crew! Carson and Laney hanging out with all our buddies from our block. We have the best time with our neighbors....the parents are going to recreate this one day soon....
Last weekend was the annual Roselle Park Festival in Ada! Carson could wait to run up the silo and drop his parachute!
And making a creation out of wood and wood glue is always Carson's favorite.
Auntie came to hang out with us too! She helped Laney paint her pumpkin.
That's a real bear head in between these two! Carson's not so sure about it.
Carson has been cautiously practicing rollerblading and Laney has been dying to give it a try! So I picked her up some of her own rollerblades at a garage sale this week and of course she was ready to roll and wouldn't let me hold her hand or anything. She got mad when I would even stand near her. She did end up falling quite a bit and getting pretty angry about it. Carson, on the other hand, recruited Max to hold him up while he practiced. He's has no problem asking for some help. And I bet his bottom isn't as sore as Laney's either!
What a monkey!
In other news...this week we surprised Carson and Laney with the big news that our family is growing! Carson has been asking for another baby for over a year now, so I finally gave in :-) The video below is from when they found out. Carson is over the moon excited. Laney is excited, but mostly because Carson is. The second Carson found out he wanted to go tell Max and then Grandma and Grandpa. He ran out into the street and yelled down to all his friends who were outside. Then we drove over to Grandma's house and he sprinted in holding the photos from our ultrasound that day. That night Carson told me I would have to stop jumping around so much and that I would have to quit eating candy because it wasn't good for the baby. The day after he found out he announced he was having a baby at the bus stop (in front of lots of people who I don't even know!), and when he got home from school he disappointedly said, "Mom! Your belly didn't even get a little bit bigger!". He is getting ready. Carson took an inventory of everything we still have in the basement that we can use when the baby comes, and he has warned Laney that the baby will probably pull her hair. He has been so fun to be around with all this baby talk.
The last video is of Laney showing us her cartwheel. She watches our neighbor, Maria, when she practices gymnastics, and Laney has been bound and determined to teach herself how to do a cartwheel.
