Christmas Preparations!

Making Christmas cut out cookies!  It was an all day long project whew!  The kids made the dough, rolled and cut the cookies, baked them, frosted them, and decorated them!

The kids sang a Christmas song with Sunday School in front of church.  Laney needed to keep grabbing herself of course....and I was certain Carson would keep his hands in his pockets...he's so predictable :-)
Christmas came early with the Brang Family!  We celebrated last weekend at Aunt Sarah and Uncle Blake's house and had a blast!
Laney asked Aunt Sarah if she would do her hair in her special room upstairs where she keeps all her jewelry, make-up, and shoes.  When Carson went up to see what they were up to he walked in and said, "Oh so this is where you get beautiful!".
Laney had to take all of us, one at a time, into the dark bathroom to show us her knew light up toy.
 Dancing with Eliana!

Carson did not miss the opportunity to help Uncle Blake bring in some more firewood!

Carson and Laney were both super excited about their gifts.  When we got home late that night Laney just kept saying, "I can't believe I got so many gifts Mom!".

Laney was happy to help Eliana open up her gifts.  And she just can't stop kissing her and touching her cheeks!

Laney LOVES using her new hair dryer to dry her own hair after bathtime!  Just like Aunt Sarah!
Carson made this Santa beard out of paper and yarn.  Then he asked my Mom to come sit on his lap!  Hahaha.  When she said she really couldn't sit on him he asked Laney to sit on Santa's lap instead and she jumped at the chance!  There is the cutest video of their conversation down below.

We stopped in to wish Gigi a Merry Christmas one day and got to see some special magic from Great Uncle Bill too!

Visiting Santa Claus at Meijer Gardens!

Checking out the trains!
Kate's nephew Hudson is the same age as Carson so we get to have some play dates when he comes to visit her now that she lives by us!

Window painting with Carson, Max, and Laney!  We have some very festive windows right now.
Grandma elf is really up to no good this year!  Carson has decided this year that we should change our elf's name to "Grandpa Elf" because he's finally caught on that he is a boy.  But Laney and I keep telling him that you can't just change it's name!  He named our elf "Grandma" back when he was 2 years old.  By the way, Carson was NOT amused with this picture AT ALL...whereas Laney thought it was hilarious.
Patrick took the kids bowling with their Sunday School group for the first time ever and they both LOVED it!  We are hoping to bowl again over Christmas break!

Sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa's!  They got to help decorate their tree and go to a holiday party at Meijer Gardens.  Carson got to make his coin box that Aunt and Sarah and Uncle Blake gave him too!

Come Sit on Santa's Lap

Laney is so happy to open any gift!  She's going to be so much fun this year!
