Laney went with her friend Abby to learn how to draw from a real picture book artist one night at her school.

You guys...Laney has been KILLING IT at soccer. The best part is that she's having so much fun with her new team and coaches and gosh is she ever playing tough! I was subbing at her school the other day and was looking for her out the window during recess (you know, to spy on her and see who she was playing with), and I couldn't find her. Then I noticed one lone girl on the soccer field playing soccer with about 20 boys...yep, that was Laney! She's been doing that every recess apparently. She's getting a little bruised up without any shin guards but she said it's the most fun.

This is what happens when you leave Everson outside with the puppy for 5 minutes. Wet chalk, all over this poor dog. And it did not come off easily.

Daddy, Carson, and Laney all had practices during Evie's Family Night at school, so we invited Grandma and Grandpa to come along! She was so excited to show us all her animals.
Here's our big news. Everson has lost her first tooth! Yep. Last week she was riding her bike and took a spill that ended with her face down on the garage floor. Ouch! There was a lot of blood and a missing front tooth that I later found on the floor. We were able to get in to see the dentist but unfortunately there's nothing that you can do when a baby tooth comes out like that. For a couple of weeks she's on a soft food diet and we are keeping our fingers crossed that the other front teeth don't change colors and harden back up, because they were a little loose too. She has been such a champ through it all. The tooth fairy came to see her (well she left her gifts in the kitchen because Evie did not want that fairy coming in her room!). She got a Frozen musical jewelry box, new sunglasses, chapstick, and some dollar bills! When Carson and Laney came home from school on the day it happened they were so sweet and worred about Evie. Carson ran upstairs and brought down $1 of his own money and asked me to put it under her pillow that night so that she could get a little extra from whatever the tooth fairy left her. Laney of course ran upstairs and donated $1 as well. I swear this whole thing was way rougher on me than it was on Everson. After such a long, emotional day, Carson and Laney made my heart burst that afternoon. And just like that, we were all ok.
The girls found my old headbands that my Mom and Grandma made me in college when I was really into them. They LOVE wearing them!
This is her dog...I really thought she'd be Carson's, but she's totally Evie's dog!
We had a special visit from Aunt Beth, Uncle Nader, Eliana, and Addie! It was soooo nice to spend the day with them and just get to catch up! The kids ask about the next time we will get to see them almost daily.

This video is of Laney getting to see her "new room" for the first time. I painted my Grandma's old corner desk for her and my Mom and Dad helped me move around her room....she loved it to say the least.
And last, I saw this up in Evie's Sunday School classroom and had to take a pic. She listed everyone in her family. That would be Charlotte, Mommy, Carson, Dad, Laney, and Maeve. I just love that Maeve was included.
