Ice is Nice

The kids made a snow fort mini fridge in the front yard, and I found out when it started melting that they put real drinks in them!  Juice boxes for everyone!

Evie has been a skiing machine.  She loves if more than any of us.  I've been taking her during the day when the slopes are empty to practice.  It's been so nice to have something to do outside with her.

Evie's class fort!

Surprise gifts from Uncle Jeff and Aunt Roxie.

Loving that hot mozzerella stick :-)

Maren turned 1!!!  Baby is not a baby anymore!

The kids attempted ice fishing with their buddy Elliott, no bites, but they had so much fun.

This is song Laney wrote at school on Martin Luther King Jr. Day ❤❤❤

Ever since getting to grill hot dogs with Grandpa Brang last summer, Carson has been begging to do it again.

Evie graduated to the chairlift!  She was bound and determined to go with Laney and Carson to the big hills and she's been working so hard at pizza stopping and turning.  I have never seen her this determined to accomplish something, it really reminded me a lot of Laney, who is like this with just about everything!  I was thinking Evie might get real scared on the chair lift and at the top of the hill, but seriously she never waivered!  She conquered that hill about 10 times before we finally said they were going to shut down soon!  We had to drag her out of there.  So proud of this girl for staying with it, even when she's falling down, and for staying positive!  Way to go Evie!

We got to have the most special visitors!  Nicky and Ollie got to come stay with us for the weekend.  Our kids were so excited, Laney barely slept all week!

We can't wait until we can do this again soon!  Sending all our love, prayers, and strength to this amazing family as they get ready for the next part of their journey.

Night walk with the COOLEST moon overlooking the river!
We met Auntie, Uncle Adam, and Maeve at Rosa Parks Circle for some ice skating fun!

January, you are not my favorite of months, but you were so good to us!
