Evie and I went to the Grand Opening of our new Ada Library! We love it!
Evie had her first real play date with a friend from her soccer team. It's about time!

Laney got to be Principal for the Day!!! She got to school an hour early to have breakfast with her principal, she got to make up a new rule for the day, and she got to greet all the students as they got to school. Her favorite part was getting to use a walkie talkie and getting to read the announcements over the intercom. She had the best day EVER with Mr. Lyon.
Our buddy Ollie is BACK! We call him our 4th kid and he just slides right into our family like it's no big deal. Can you say adjustable?

Maren is IN LOVE with Uncle Patrick. She really has been for months and months. He doesn't even have to try, it's not fair. He's hoping she will always be his special buddy.
Laney teaches Maeve and Evie ballet lessons and they love doing their dance recitals for us.
Getting those M&M treats for potty training! This kid has got it! Not only did he adjust to coming to a new house for a long chunk of time but he decided he was ready to be a big boy too! He's pretty amazing if you ask us!
We all LOVE hearing Carson practice the violin. He looked up the theme song to "Toy Story" one night to play for Ollie. He needs to practice it more but I was so amazed that he could just pick up that music and just play it. Evie recognized it right away.

One last ice skating night before it closed for the season! Carson, Laney, and Evie improved so much from the last time, and Ollie just pointed those toes up and loved getting to go for a ride.
Basketball season is ON! Laney is loving being back and she's been shooting hoops in our driveway non stop just getting better with every shot.
Laney got a kids cookbook and loves picking things to make. She made a homemade mac n cheese that Carson requests over and over again, she's really into smoothies, and she even made all of us homemade buttermilk pancakes for breakfast one day.
Carson has such a soft spot for babies.
Ollie did so well with ice skating that we decided we should try out some skiing! We borrowed ski's from Maeve (thanks Auntie) and we were off. He couldn't stop laughing and kept saying "Again, again!".
Evie tried on Laney's old romper and I just could not stop squeezing and kissing her ahhhhh!!! The rompers really get me! Then she put on my sweatshirt and I about ate her right up.

We met Auntie, Maeve, Maren, Grandma, and Grandpa at Meijer Gardens to check out the butterflies!

Laney created this poster for her school for World Language week. She came home with this idea already in her head. I am so incredibly impressed, as thinking creatively like this never just comes to me! I love the message and her artwork to boot!
Laney and her friends went around the neighborhood dropping off mystery notes on people's doorsteps. They all had messages of kindness on them. I didn't even know they were doing it, but that night I had a neighbor text me and say how much getting the note made her day. She had been having a tough week single parenting 3 young kids on her own while her husband was out of town and she went to let her dog out late at night and saw the note. She knew it was from Laney because of the door cam :-) I was so happy to get to show Laney the text and for her to know the kind of positive impact she has made. She made a difference that day. She's makes a difference every day.
Fun in the sun! 4 days in a row of beautiful, sunny, warm weather! The kids have been outside from the moment they get off the bus to sun down. They are so much happier this way! We will take it, especially in March.
