Here Comes Christmas!

November felt long...and we anticipated Thanksgiving so much with the cooking and having the house FULL of family and friends...and then Laney got the flu and went down for over a week.  It's still kind of a blur.  But we did have a turkey and mashed potatoes and stuffing (thanks to my Mom!) for the 5 of us.

Post-futsal Starbies run!

Got to visit with Sandy, Aunt Roxie, and Uncle Jeff!

By Friday Laney was feeling better and we all wanted to get out of the house.  Off to an MSU hockey game we went!  We had glass seats because the student section was gone for the holidays, and we got to see a big WIN.

Carson has been asking us to get a "real" tree for years and this year we decided last minute to give it a try!  It was quite the experience and I'm not sure we picked the best tree for our spot but Carson is very happy with it.

Snow day!  Hurray!  I'll take a snowday ANYDAY.

Evie invited her friends over for a Christmas Gift Exchange party this year!  Laney wrote a story to help facilitate passing the gifts, which included words like "slay", "aura", and "6-7", which they all loved.

It was just a couple hours of pj's, cookie decorating, gifts, and hot cocoa...and it was pretty awesome!

Carson layed on the dog bed to get close to the fire and ended up sleeping there for hours.

Gingerbread houses at Aunties house!

No fun was had making these.  None.
Evie took a cookie decorating class with some friends after school.
Laney went to see "The Nutcracker" and support her starbound friends!
Basketball team photo.
Carson and some Crew buddies shopped for an angel tree recipient family and had some fun.  They are such a fun group.

Evie was a narrator in our church's annual Christmas Program.  She was clear, slow, and awesome!
The high school performed a variety show with all the choirs, bands, and orchestra's.  It has become one of my favorite events.

Annual gingerbread houses with friends!

We got to watch Kaylee perform in her ice skating show.  She is phenomenal!

Unlike November, December FLEW by!  Christmas is here and I don't know how any of it happened.  Always goes like that.  Christmas break is here...bring on all the FUN!
