Back to the park every chance we get!
First bounce house jump of the year! Evie did NOT like being in that thing...she'll get there.
Pie in the face for Mr. Shubel....Carson's principal!
Thornapple Elementary Family Fun Night never disappoints! Both kids won a cake from the cake walk, again. Laney won right away and Carson took half the night but he did not leave until his number was called.
Happy Birthday Addie! We were so happy to get to celebrate with our cousins.....again! All the birthday fun we just can't get enough!
Evie strategically placed herself right under Addie's chair...she scooped up lots of cake crumbs while everyone's eyes were glued on the birthday girl and her cake. It was pretty ingenious if you ask me.
When we got home late that night and Laney woke up from her car ride nap, the first thing she said was, "When can we go back to Eliana's house again?". She can't wait to go back. She always talks about how much she loves Eliana.
Ahhh Laney and Kate... I love this friendship and I love it even more that she lives right across the street.
This week was Laney's preschool Spring Sing. The theme of the night was "Michigan" so every song had something to do with our state. It was completely ADORABLE in every way. I can't even believe we are already transitioning from preschool to kindergarten, again. Laney just suddenly looks so big, so old, so not little anymore....how did I miss this happening even when I was looking out for it?!
I love Ada Village Preschool...love, love, love it. Do you see that happy face? You can't walk into that school and not feel happy, ever. Laney's teachers, Mrs. Neeley and Mrs. Sullivan, claim they've never had a class that has gotten along as well as Laney's class. These kids have been together for two years and they are the absolute best of friends. After class there is always a teacher talk where one of the teachers chats with parents only for about 5 minutes before we pick up the kids, and lately, they have been moved to tears as they talk about the class and what they've been up to. It's not even surprising at all that Laney was a part of this special class. She talks so fondly of her classmates, she's learned compassion and compromise, she's gained confidence and built friendships. Laney loves school and I hope she always will.
Check all this amazing artwork!
And Everson gets a cookie to top off the night...cheers!
